$5,000 AWARDED IN 2021

For the second consecutive year, the Santa Maria Fairpark, in accordance with precautionary health measures, was forced to cancel the Santa Barbara County Fair. Our Foundation acknowledges that this decision has a significant financial impact on the community as well as junior livestock exhibitors. In response, the Santa Maria Fairpark Foundation restructured the 2021 Scholarship Animal Project to address the unique circumstances this year.  Rather than select one recipient to raise and show the Foundation Animal, the Foundation awarded multiple scholarships in an effort to help more local youth in our community. The Foundation awarded a total of $5,000 split into $500 and $1,000 scholarships among 6 local youth in Ag.
