2021 Scholarship Animal Project

RECIPIENT #3

Lilly Masopust, Valley 4-H

$1,000 SCHOLARSHIP IN 2021

Lilly recently graduated from Dunn School where, in addition to her studies, she was active in student government and participated in community service activities.  She was also the SYV Youth Rec Queen in 2019 and raised over $175,000 for youth in the Santa Ynez Valley.

Lilly’s passion for agriculture and raising animals is undeniable.  She has raised steers, heifers, pigs and poultry for the last nine years.  Her leadership skills are evident in her role as President (2018-2020), Secretary (2016-2018), and Beef Teen Leader (2017-2020) of the Valley 4-H Club as well as Sgt. of Arms for the Lucky Clover 4-H Club in 2015.  Lilly is also an active member of the Society of Rangeland Management where she gave a speech at the National Convention in Colorado!

Lilly will attend the University of Wyoming the Fall.  She plans to major in Animal Science and Pre-Veterinary Medicine and will join the University’s rodeo team.  She dreams of becoming an embryologist for large animals with an emphasis on cattle.

CONGRATULATIONS LILLY!  We’re so impressed!
